Terrain Data

Since terrain elevations do not change appreciably, these files do not need to be updated. The terrain files that ship with each unit are provided here as backup. They are from freely available sources and are maintained by the USGS.

Right Click and Save Target As... to download the terrain data chunk (4 for the entire US)
this is GTOPO data in 1km resolution in .DEM format
Each block is 54 Mb.

Enigma: These files should be copied to SD card only - no installation is required.
Odyssey/Voyager: These files should be installed under Installation Tasks
